Office of Aboriginal Health

Preliminary approach to Aboriginal men's health and wellbeing

Engage Aboriginal men and stakeholders statewide

We will develop a comprehensive engagement action plan, including the formation of a state reference group.

Review health status, data and reports

We will develop an evidence-based approach to invoke change across the sector through comprehensive data and research.

Review and evaluate state and national policies

We will draw on state and national policies that support the Western Australian Aboriginal men’s health framework.

Review and evaluate health services

We will incorporate a male-friendly health service across the sector through a focused service delivery plan.

Review programs and initiatives

We plan to integrate Aboriginal men’s health into existing health services, program and initiatives where possible.

Inform the sector

We plan to establish an information plan, connecting to a network of services and sites supporting men’s health.

Report findings and recommendations

We will post findings and recommendations across the board.
